I’m a married mother of 3. Who loves living in Minnesota, prep ahead cooking, and couldn’t live without them now. No more worries about the age old question “What’s for Dinner?”. I am also transitioning my family into the slow food and clean eating movement. I believe it’s best if we can eat food in it’s most natural state. I love to share the information I have been gaining through this whole experience. I’m also a trained personal chef. Cooking is a passion and hobby of mine. Hope your are enjoying the content of my blog.

  1. Cheesy burritos: don’t cook from frozen, it takes too long. Instead, thaw and cook at 350 for 30 min or so, then add the sauce and bake another 5-10 min.

  2. Forgot to mention Indian summer stew is completely organic!! for all you health nuts in the group:) We also added a cup of water/ broth when we made ours as it simmered down alot, or you could keep it thick and put over chicken or rice! enjoy and thanks for hanging in there with me on Wednesday!

  3. HI Ladies-
Kirsten, so sorry it was really spicy i was nervous that i did it wrong(doubled the heat) so I went back and checked the recipe and i followed it as it was written. This month has been crazy busy so i did not try this one out first i just trusted the reviews which were great! Again sorry your dinner was a bust, good thing i am taking a month off:)

  4. Buffalo chicken too spicy for me but my guests LOVED it. Eat all the Italian sausage also.

  5. The brand is fontanini. I got it from gophergrocery.com . 5 pounds for about $21.

  6. Loved the buffalo chicken sandwiches. I grilled the instead, toasted the buns, slice the chicken into strips, layered on buns, and sprinkled crumbled blue cheese on the sandwich. Yum-o! We have new favorite at our house. Just the right amount of spice then. I will definitely make this again. Great flavor. We shared with neighbors and my almost two year old loved it! Grilling instead of slow cooking is the key.

  7. Carmelized chicken and pig on a stick were really good! Will make both again for sure. Haven’t tried the rest yet, looking forward to it though!

  8. my beans did not cook enough in the chalupa so they were still crunchy but the meat was borderline overdone so i couldn’t have left them in any longer. and there was plenty of water so i’m not sure what happened? but the meat was delicious in tacos!

everything was good this month! we’re having the buffalo chicken tonight and i’m baking instead of slow cooking so hopefully that will help in the heat department.
