This week I applied for a Allina 2013 Healthy Activity Grant for my swappers and my mothers of preschoolers group.
The purpose of the Healthy Activity Grants is to support community and neighborhood group activities that promote social connections and increase healthy behaviors (healthy eating, active living) in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Hoping we are chosen so I can do more food education and cooperative cooking sessions for those involved with Twin Cities Supper Swappers locally.
Please be praying and Wish me luck! I will know by July 10th.
So Sad! The reply I got today…
Thank you for applying for a Neighborhood Health ConnectionTM 2013 Healthy Activity Grant. As expected, the application process was highly competitive. We received over 250 applications, and are able to fund only a small number. I’m sorry to let you know that your activity was not selected to receive funding this year.
We encourage you to continue being an advocate for wellness in your community by visiting NeighborhoodHealthConnection.org to download the Neighborhood Health Connection Toolkit and access additional resources to support neighborhood activities. Also, “like” us on Facebook so you can share your own ideas and see what neighbors and organizations are doing to improve the health of their communities.
Thank you for your interest in Neighborhood Health Connection.
